Friends of Tubac Presidio invites you to join in celebrating the Anza 250 Commemoration event happening October 23-25, 2025. On October 23, 1775, Juan Bautista de Anza and over 200 settlers departed the Tubac Presidio to embark on an expedition covering nearly 1,000 miles and lasting 5 months. This expedition set in motion a chain of events that shaped Arizona, California and the Western United States as we know it today. Day 1 (9am-7:30pm) of this commemoration, visitors may participate in a blessing ceremony, enjoy a reenactment ride, and listen to museum docents share stories and answer questions. On Day 2 (9am-5pm), the park becomes animated with living history activities. Day 3 (9am-5pm) will include crafts, music, food trucks, face painting, live cultural performances, demonstrations, Spanish Barb Horses and donkeys, and the Anza Trail Color Guard. Best of all – free park admission all three days! For more information, go to Anza 250 | Tubac Presidio.
