The Arizona History Convention, Inc., invites proposals for paper and poster presentations for the 2026 Arizona History Convention to be held on Saturday, September 26, at the Arizona History Museum, 949 E. 2nd Street, Tucson. The Convention welcomes proposals on any topic related to Arizona or southwestern borderlands history, but this year, in celebration of the nation’s Semiquincentennial and the 250th anniversary of the founding of Tucson in 2025, priority will be given to presentations about the Southwest 250 years ago. The Convention will also be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of Route 66 in 2026, and any relevant presentations about that historic road are also encouraged. For more information about submitting a paper or presentation, go to https://arizonahistory.org/2026-call-for-papers.
