The Board of Latin American Art Patrons (LAAP) invites you to enjoy a beautiful afternoon at the Tucson Museum of Art on November 11, 2018 where guest emcee Ernesto Portillo will recount the fascinating history of El Nacimiento. Created by Maria Luisa Tena in the 1970s, El Nacimiento is the largest and longest-running nativity scene in the Southwest. A must-see! This free event is made possible by a generous donation from LAAP member Sandra Maxfield. The program, which is from 1:00-3:00 pm, will include music by the mariachi group Los Changuitos Feos, Ballet Folklorico, and refreshments – all in the courtyard of La Casa Cordova (175 N. Meyer Ave, Tucson). RSVP by November 1 to Susan Casteloes at schambers15@cox.net or call (520) 325-0403.
