Registration is now open for the 2019 summer Presidio Archaeology Day Camp hosted by the Santa Bárbara Trust for Historic Preservation, the nonprofit organization that operates El Presidio de Santa Bárbara State Historic Park. The Presidio Archaeology Camp, for ages 11-15, will be held July 8-12, from 9 am to 1 pm each day. Students will discover historic Santa Bárbara by excavating the fort (and the later Japanese community), studying and interpreting clues to reconstruct Santa Bárbara’s history, and receive instruction from archaeologists on basic excavation techniques, artifact processing methods, identification, drawing, and mapping. Summer day camps fees are $225. For questions/registration contact Danny Tsai (Director of Programs) at (805) 961-5374, email at email@example.com, or on website at https://www.sbthp.org/presidiocamp.
